Email Campaign vs Spam Filters

Posted by admin On September - 10 - 2008

Many businesses are failed to get more customers through email campaign because of being blocked, redirected or tagged by spam filters. If you want to deal with this situation, here are some tips for you.
First, see if there is a spam test feature when you first purchased the software or start subscribing to the service of the popular mailing list. It will be very helpful to find out if your email marketing will end up in trash or reach the goal. Secondly, you can try your self if the email will be survived from the spam filters of the popular free email account such as at Gmail, yahoo, AIM and MSN. You can make 4 accounts on those different providers and see where your campaign ends up.

You can also test it against your own spam filters. You can send a copy of your newsletter or campaign from your domain or from the email accounts you established to your ISP email address and you will be able to see the details if it recognized by spam score. In most default set up, a score of 5 or more can have your message tagged as spam or filtered out altogether. You can then make adjustment and reword to your campaign and then retest it.
